VIVID uses Fusion21’s Decarbonisation Framework to retrofit 397 homes

Social housing provider VIVID has accessed our Decarbonisation Framework to deliver a comprehensive retrofit programme to improve the energy efficiency of 397 homes in the South of England.

Delivered by leading energy provider E.ON, the project is valued at £9.4m and is part-funded by the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF). Work has started and will span over 24 months.

Improvements to homes include measures such as external wall insulation, ventilation upgrades, and the installation of new windows and doors.

Our national Decarbonisation Framework supports members, including registered housing providers, to deliver against a zero carbon agenda.

This framework has already generated £250 million in decarbonisation retrofit projects, on behalf of members in the housing, health, and education sectors.

Via direct award, VIVID was able to appoint E.ON a well-recognised contractor in the retrofit industry.

E:ON provided a full turnkey solution, managing everything from the SHDF funding application to the completion of the works.

The outcome is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions and improve living conditions for residents.
