Green makeovers for 140 Merseyside homes procured through Fusion21

One hundred and forty homes across Merseyside are being given green makeovers to make them more energy efficient and slash bills.

The One Vision Housing residential properties in Bootle are to benefit from external wall insulation, cavity wall insulation, and loft Insulation.

One Vision Housing, which manages more than 13,000 affordable homes across the North West, accessed our Decarbonisation Framework to appoint Liverpool energy and construction specialists Ecogee to carry out the retrofit services and installation project - estimated to be completed by March 2025.

The project worth £2.3 million is designed to reduce carbon emissions and increase energy efficiencies and is supported by funding from the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) Wave 2.

Using our Decarbonisation Framework meant One Vision Housing benefited from reduced procurement timescales, economies of scale, and a compliant route to market – in addition to appointing a well-recognised contractor with a track record of providing green energy solutions.

The project will make the 140 properties more environmentally friendly and help to reduce household bills.

The properties are also set to see improved Energy Performance Certificate bands - all achieving a minimum C band rating – the standard the government is encouraging landlords to work towards where possible.
